Hope is what helps you endure the process.

One thing I am learning as I interview people who have had to overcome some of the hardest things humans can endure is the theme of HOPE.

Nick Bare has this motto: “Endure the Process.”
I originally liked it because you have to endure the process to get good at anything—business, fitness, parenting, whatever. But the more I speak with people like Tiffany—people who have had to claw their way out of rock bottom—I realize something deeper:

You can’t even begin to endure the process without hope.

Tiffany's story is one of heartbreak, addiction, loss, and ultimately—redemption. She shared how she went from feeling physically and spiritually broken to rebuilding her life, one painful step at a time. But that rebuilding didn’t begin with discipline or even detox. It began with hope. A flicker. A possibility. A whisper that maybe her life didn’t have to end like this.

“I just remember this feeling, like from my head to my toes, just this rush… and I just started weeping… I knew that God was with me, and that I was going to chase that feeling with everything I had, just like I used to chase the drink or the drug.” — Tiffany

That moment didn’t fix everything. There was still work to do—detox, treatment, forgiveness, job searches, repairing trust, showing up. But the seed of hope gave her something to build on.

That’s what I’m learning.

You can’t change your habits unless you have an undying hope that you can change your habits.
You can’t become a better parent, a better coach, a better cook, unless you believe you can.
And then that belief—that hope—has to carry you into step-by-step, day-after-day, showing up and enduring your process.

When Tiffany talks about Motif, the nonprofit sober living home she co-founded, it’s clear that what she’s trying to create isn’t just shelter—it’s hope in a home. A place where women can heal, yes. But even more importantly, a place where they can start believing again. In God. In others. In themselves.

And once that belief is back, the process becomes possible.

So wherever you are—trying to start over, trying to push through, trying to grow:
You’re growing. You’re becoming. I’m proud of you.

If you haven’t seen the episode yet, I highly recommend it. Tiffany’s story will leave you humbled, encouraged, and maybe—just maybe—hopeful.
